chiropractic treatment

Chiropractors use a wide range of gentle, specific manipulation techniques to unlock stiff joints to restore proper function and mobility, which in turn settles the pain.

Chiropractors use a variety of soft tissue, massage techniques and exercise as part of the treatment. Modalities such as Low Level Laser, Shockwave Therapy, Tecar Therapy, Interferential and Ultrasound may also be used. We also use pain relief acupuncture (dry needling).

What to Expect at Your First Visit to Isis Chiropractic

Whether you’re seeking pain relief or long-term wellness, your journey with Isis Chiropractic starts with a thorough and personalized approach. Here’s what happens during your first few visits—and how we work to get you feeling better and moving well.

Your First Appointment: Consultation and Examination

Your first visit lasts about 45 minutes and sets the foundation for your care.

What We Do:

  • Take your medical history – We ask detailed questions to understand your health background and current symptoms.

  • Perform a comprehensive exam – This includes physical, orthopaedic, neurological, and chiropractic assessments.

  • Order imaging if needed – If necessary, we may refer you for X-rays or MRI scans to get a clearer view of your condition.

We aim to find out exactly what’s causing your symptoms and make sure there are no risks before beginning treatment. Based on what we find, your chiropractor will choose the safest and most effective treatment methods for your needs.

If appropriate, treatment may begin during this visit. However, depending on your condition, we may wait until your second appointment to start care.

Your Second Visit: Report of Findings

During your second visit, known as the Report of Findings, your chiropractor explains everything you need to know:

  • What’s causing your symptoms

  • What your examination and any imaging revealed

  • Your diagnosis and how we plan to treat it

  • How many sessions we recommend

  • What you can expect from your recovery

We also review your X-rays (if taken), answer all your questions, and make sure you’re comfortable with the plan before starting treatment. Once you’re ready, we begin.

Follow-Up Appointments: Continuing Your Care

We base your treatment plan on:

  • The type and severity of your condition

  • How long you’ve had the problem

  • Your personal goals and lifestyle

If you’ve dealt with recurring issues or show signs of long-term risk, we design your plan to offer not just relief—but real, lasting improvement.

Pain often fades before the problem fully heals. Ending treatment too early can lead to a quick return of symptoms.

After your symptoms ease, we continue with stabilisation treatments to strengthen vulnerable areas and reduce the risk of future flare-ups.

Long-Term Health: Staying Pain-Free

Once your condition stabilizes, we shift focus to prevention and wellness. To help you stay pain-free, your chiropractor may recommend:

  • A personalized exercise plan

  • Posture and movement advice

  • Occasional maintenance treatments

Our patients often say that chiropractic care works best not just to treat pain—but to keep it from coming back.
