About Maisie

Maisie qualified as a chiropractor from the McTimoney College of Chiropractic in 2021 and has been working in clinical practice since 2022.

She enjoys working with a wide range of patients and helping people get back to the things they enjoy doing. Maisie does not believe there is one treatment that works for everyone, so she looks at the bigger picture and adapts her approach according to the individual, their symptoms and what they want to achieve.

Her clinical interests include problems affecting the spine and other joints, as well as sports and activity-related injuries. She particularly enjoys more challenging cases where the painful area may not be the only factor that needs to be considered.

Approach to patient care

Maisie’s approach is centred on understanding the individual patient rather than simply finding a painful area and treating it.

She considers what may be contributing to the problem, how it is affecting the patient’s day-to-day life and what they would like to get back to doing.

Depending on the individual and their condition, treatment may include chiropractic adjustments, soft tissue techniques, IASTM, Activator, dry needling, therapeutic laser and rehabilitation exercises. Her aim is to develop an individual treatment and management plan that helps improve movement and function and supports the patient’s own goals.

Outside the clinic

Outside clinical practice, Maisie enjoys keeping active. She enjoys snowboarding and previously did a lot of bouldering, giving her a personal appreciation of how frustrating it can be when an injury prevents someone from doing an activity they enjoy.

She also enjoys Pilates and going to the gym. Away from sport, Maisie is a gamer and anime fan and regularly attends a board game club.
