More Chiropractic Research To Show Safety
A recent study published in JMPT in September 2012 by W. Herzog et.al measured the strain on the internal carotid arteries during chiropractic manipulation of the neck.
The study found that there was no more strain on the arteries during manipulation compared to movements during normal daily activities.
Their conclusion was that "cervical spinal manipulative therapy as performed by a trained clinician… did not appear to place undue strain on the internal carotid arteries…".
This is of course great news for chiropractic patients, chiropractors and those of you who have been thinking of becoming chiropractic patients.

It is very obvious when you search the net that there are people who want to misrepresent chiropractic and exaggerate the risks of treatment.
We don't expect you to take our word for it, as you might see us a bias, but take the time to read the research, if you really want to find out more about it.
