What is Chiropractic?

We specialise in the diagnosis and treatment of nerve, muscle and joint problems particularly relating to the spine and its effect on the nervous system, which means that the symptoms can be very varied.

The most common symptoms include back pain, sciatica, neck pain, shoulder- and arm pain, and headaches, to mention a few.

People of all ages and from all walks of life can benefit from our treatment, from babies and children, through adulthood and into later years and including pregnant women.

The treatment is a great alternative to both osteopathy and physiotherapy.

Is the treatment safe and is it effective?

Chiropractic treatment has been given much support and is mentioned as the preferred treatment for back pain in clinical guidelines throughout the world. Research has shown it to be both more effective and cost-effective than traditional medical care, and importantly, safer than taking painkillers.

Her is a summary of research showing effectiveness of Chiropractic care compiled by the Royal College of Chiropractors.

A recent review by the National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE), in the UK, mentioned it as the preferred treatment for back pain, but chiropractic care is much more than just treatment for back pain.
