What is Chiropractic?

We specialise in the diagnosis and treatment of nerve, muscle and joint problems particularly relating to the spine and its effect on the nervous system, which means that the symptoms can be very varied.

The most common symptoms include back pain, sciatica, neck pain, shoulder- and arm pain, and headaches, to mention a few.

People of all ages and from all walks of life can benefit from chiropractic treatment, from babies and children, through adulthood and into later years and including pregnant women.

The treatment is a great alternative to both osteopathy and physiotherapy.

Is the treatment safe and is it effective?

Chiropractic treatment has been given much support and is mentioned as the preferred treatment for back pain in clinical guidelines throughout the world. Research has shown it to be both more effective and cost-effective than traditional medical care, and importantly, safer than taking painkillers.

A recent review by the National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE), in the UK, mentioned it as the preferred treatment for back pain, but chiropractic care is much more than just treatment for back pain.

Chiropractic treatment has also been shown to reduce the number of days needed off work when injured. So, companies who provide our treatment for their employees often find it is saving them money both by reducing cost for sick pay and lost production.

There are three clinics within the ISIS group

Our chiropractic centres are located in Aylesbury, Northampton and Milton Keynes. All clinics have on site x-ray facilities and there are Rehabilitation Suites at the Milton Keynes and Northampton Clinics.

All Chiropractors at the ISIS clinics are qualified to worldwide accepted standards, we have completed a minimum of five years full time degree course and take part in regular post-graduate training. This is to ensure that we will provide the best possible care with regard to both safety and effectiveness.

We are all members of the British Chiropractic Association and registered with the General Chiropractic Council.

We have a BUPA and AXA / PPP recognised consultant in all clinics and treatment is covered by all major insurance companies.
